yearn.finance (YFII) is a decentralized lending protocol, and its governance token YFI will be burned based on community voting results after it goes live, with a total supply of 1 billion coins. The purpose of YFI tokens is to incentivize users to contribute value to the platform and provide liquidity. The project aims to reduce the mining rewards from 1 YAM to 2 YAM in the YFII liquidity pool within the next three years.
Currently, this project is supported by 8 different public chains, which are Ethereum, Polkadot, Cosmos, and Tezos.

According to the official release by yfii.network, as of 11:59 on July 16th, 2020, 8 projects have issued their own tokens with a total market value of about 657,000 coins. Among them, yFII is one of the largest circulating DeFi tokens.
Currently, the maximum supply of this coin has reached about 1 billion coins.
