BitCore is an open-source blockchain technology protocol that solves consensus problems by effectively controlling the nodes in the network, thereby achieving decentralization and fair results. Although the value of this technology is still unclear, it is worth noting that the project has developed a blockchain-based technology – a network architecture called “bitcoin” that integrates with Ethereum, known as the EVM (smart contract platform). Therefore, it can convert Bitcoin from a proof-of-work mechanism to a proof-of-stake system. This new transaction model allows users to exchange assets without intermediaries. In addition, as the number of participants in the network continues to grow, these new features will make Bitcoin more scalable and secure, eliminating the need for people to rely on third parties to validate their digital credentials, their wallets, and any software services they use, among others. The main purpose of BitCore is to support various applications and their data repositories, including distributed ledger technology, virtual machines, cryptographic algorithms, and other types of applications such as browsers, cloud gaming, and social media websites. BitCore uses a special design language to represent cryptocurrencies. Its design concept is to create a universal framework based on Bitcoin to describe a complex data structure. When someone wants to understand how a specific computer handles or executes a set of tasks, they can simply name it. Bitcore uses a method called “Byzantine Fault Tolerance” (BFT) to allow miners to construct the best solution based on the optimal computing scheme according to their needs. For example, hard forks like Bitcoin can eliminate competitors and provide better security without affecting the integrity of the main chain. However, if there are serious problems and unexpected situations may occur, they will not generate actual benefits because they cannot completely solve the problem.
