On December 17, 2018, eos developers announced the issuance of 10 million blockchain-based digital currency EOS. In order to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the eos community, the EOS Foundation decided to establish a special project – eoscoin (EOS for short), and currently, the project has more than 100 team members. Eostoken is the first virtual currency used for mining. According to the official website, “EosCoin” realizes the creation and circulation of financial services, consumer goods, and game applications through smart contracts and decentralized trading systems. It mainly consists of three parts: accounting units, consensus mechanisms, and tokens.

According to IMEOS, eos coin bm will officially start mining on March 31. According to official sources, eoscoin will complete the first on-chain lock-up test before the mainnet goes live. Currently, projects under development in the EOSIO ecosystem include EIP-1559, super node elections (highly anticipated), and BM’s founder, Sun Yuchen, among others. It is reported that since the launch of the eos blockchain in 2017, it has maintained rapid development. At the end of 2017, it experienced a major drop during “312”, when the price of Ethereum briefly fell to around 0.008 yuan and then started a surge mode, with a maximum increase of nearly 200%. In early 2018, it gradually rose, reaching a high of $0.071.
