Founded in 2014, Bitfinex has experienced rapid business growth since 2017. In early 2018, it started operating a Bitcoin futures contract trading platform, and by the end of 2019, it officially launched spot and derivative trading products. Bitfinex claims to currently have over 3 million registered users and offers more than 150 other features and services. In June 2020, Bitfinex received seed round investment led by Sequoia Capital.
