On June 3, 2019, Binance Limited, a Singapore registered company, was registered with the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) of Hong Kong. As the first virtual asset service provider (VASP) to be issued with a license by the Securities and Exchange Commission, Binance has obtained relevant licenses from regulatory authorities and has passed the Payment Services Act. The exchange is registered and managed by the government of Santa Clara County, California, USA. It also holds licenses from the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and a trust license authorized by the Central Bank of Thailand.
