Decrease in Ethereum Blocks Subject to Transaction Review

On February 15, Martin K ö p pelmann, co-founder of GnosisChain, tweeted that the decline in the number of Ethereum blocks subject to transaction review was due to relays such as BloX route, Ultrasound and Gnosis, which constituted most of the unreviewed block space. At present, there are seven repeaters that are not reviewed, including two repeaters of BloX route (maxprofit and ethical), Ultrasound, Agnostic Gnosis, Manifold, Relayor and Aestus.

GnosisChain joint venture: The decline in the number of Ethereum blocks after transaction review is attributed to seven repeaters such as Gnosis

Interpretation of the news:

In recent times, the number of Ethereum blocks that are not subjected to transaction review has been on the rise. On February 15, Martin Köppelmann, the co-founder of GnosisChain, tweeted regarding this troubling matter. He attributed this phenomenon to the use of relays such as BloX route, Ultrasound, and Gnosis, which constitute the bulk of the unreviewed block space.

According to Köppelmann’s tweet, seven relays are currently not reviewed by the Ethreum community. These include two repeaters of BloX route, ethical and max profit, Ultrasound, Agnostic Gnosis, Manifold, Relayor, and Aestus.

A relay is a system that routes Ethereum transactions through other nodes. Although they help in the efficient and timely verification of transactions, relays have faced criticism for their potential to undermine the review system that upholds the integrity of the entire blockchain network.

The use of unreviewed blocks can result in a host of malpractices such as spam attacks, illegal transactions, and other security-related issues. It is, therefore, crucial that the Ethereum community takes steps to tackle this emerging challenge.

One possible solution proposed by Köppelmann is to incentivize the review process by offering rewards to community members for providing verification services. This can be achieved through various means such as providing bounties, offering transaction fees to those who correctly review blocks, and creating a point system that recognizes the contributions of active community members.

In conclusion, the rise in the number of unreviewed Ethereum blocks presents a dire challenge to the integrity of the blockchain network. The use of relays such as BloX route, Ultrasound, and Gnosis contributes significantly to this issue. It is imperative that the Ethereum community takes proactive steps to address this matter through incentives, increased transparency, and effective communication.
