The annual LOL League of Legends professional league is about to begin! After the start of the competition, we will discover various interesting new gameplay and mechanisms within the game. In order to help players better enjoy the matches, let’s explore further.
“LPL” tournament is the first global event to be held worldwide. After the “pre-season” in 2016, 10 participating teams from different parts of the world will compete in a BO5 single-round match (including regular mode). Each match will select 3 players from a pool of 16 to form the starting lineup for this event, including 6 team members. Each BO5 battle is divided into two phases, namely 1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes, 4 minutes; during the 2-minute phase, all players will receive a BUFF bonus. In the 4-minute phase, all teams will enter the quarterfinals, eventually leading to the grand finals; in the finals stage, two teams will emerge as finalists out of 4 to 7 qualifying teams.
After the start of the group stage, all summoners will receive a new qualification for the qualifiers, and the top two players from each group will be directly transferred to the next group. Within 30 seconds of the start of the group stage, all participating players will earn points based on their rank. After the end of the match time, the system will automatically assign the top four teams to Group Stage 1 and reward them according to the rankings.
During the tournament, all players will receive a qualification for the new season’s qualifiers. In the group stage, all participating players will enter the quarterfinals. In the knockout stage, all participating players will enter the semifinals. During the grand finals, all participating players will be randomly allocated to the finals. The ultimate championship team will receive the first global map of this tournament. And these four cities will become the champions of the Spring Finals.
Throughout the event, each player has two chances to participate in the “Throne Battle”. Once your victory points reach 1000, you will be able to obtain the throne. The victory points will affect the outcome of your victories in the throne battle, and you can also use champion fragments to exchange for your favorite heroes. The winning side in the throne battle will receive an extra opportunity for victory, and if your opponent is a computer AI, you also have a chance to win.
